9 Awesome iPhone Apps
iPhone probably has the richest library of amazing apps that can do that never ceases to amaze everyone(including Apple). And guess what? Now that jail-breaking is legal, the market is continuously being flooded with thousands of new apps every month. So out of 300,000+ apps(last updated: Oct 2010) which are the best, lets find out:
1)Evernote

Evernote really takes the cake when it comes to my favorite apps. Sure we can take notes and stuff with boring ol’ iPhone(without any apps) or we could use Evernote and be satisfied by our notes. It lets you take notes in text, voice, snapshots and my favorite the “Camera roll” which automatically coverts text(posters etc.) you have taken picture of into text which make searching hell easier. And best of all, its free!

If you lose your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch while on the go, simply install Find My iPhone app on any other iOS device to find it (you must have Find My iPhone set up on the device you are trying to locate).
You can use Find My iPhone for free with your iPhone 4S, iPad, or 4th generation iPod touch that has iOS 4.2 installed.
Launch this app and sign in to locate your missing iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch on a map and have it display a message or play a sound. You can even remotely lock the device, or wipe it to permanently delete all of your data if you think that it won’t be returned. For added security, the app will automatically sign you out after 15 minutes or you can manually sign out at any time.
FEATURES
• Locate your iPhone or iPad on a map
• Display a message and optionally play a sound for two minutes at full volume (even if your device is set to silent)
• Remotely set a passcode lock on your device, or lock it using your existing passcode
• Remotely wipe your device to permanently erase all of your personal data
Please note that you must first set up and turn on Find My iPhone on each device you want to locate (installing this app is not required).
REQUIREMENTS:
iOS 3.1.3 or later
iPhone 4, iPad, or 4th generation iPod touch running iOS 4.2 to get Find My iPhone for free

iPhone by default doesn’t support flash. And it really hurts to see such an expensive phone not do such a necessary task. But the great guys behind Skyfire Web Browser have created a flash supporting browser, which is even though far from perfect but enough to get you through the need of YouTube etc. Sadly it doesn’t support flash games. On the bright side, it has features like Explore related, Seeing what a site would look like on desktop, private browsing, Social sharing etc. .

Now Word Lens is really an app worth mentioning, they don’t make apps these powerful anymore. Word Lens is a translating tool that translates any text you point your camera at in real time. Even though it currently only has support for English-Spanish(vice-versa) but they guys behind it are working hard to add more languages.

5)DropBox

If you have your data backed up in the clouds and would like to have it with you no matter where you are, DropBox is your one-stop solution. It allows you to back up your data online(up to 2GB free) and retrieve your data from any other computer or this nifty little iPhone app.

6) Angry Birds

First thing that I though when I was writing about angry birds was “Would it be an iPhone if it didn’t have angry birds” and a ‘No’ was ringing through my head. Probably the most addictive game on iPhone and fun to play. Sure it may carry a small fee of $0.99 but its really worth it.

I’d be a fool if I didn’t mention this app of might wonders
. Instagram is the one-stop solution for adding instant high-end effects to your picture. Instagram is an amazingly fun & simple life-sharing app for your iPhone. Follow your friends’ photo updates as they move through the world. Select from photo filters that transform regular ol’ photos into works of art you’ll want to keep around forever.

Shazam is really a “WOW” app. Just give it like few seconds of the song and it will tell you which song it is. It mostly offers perfection but a little bit of background can make things a bit tricky. It is very fast and offers a free version.

If you are a photography freak like my self, your gonna love this. Just tap the screen and pan the phone in any direction and see your panorama being made in real time. Even though it carries a fee of $1.99 it truly is worth it.
