I recently encountered a problem with Facebook, it becomes damn slow at times. I have written about Other Desktop Clients for Facebook Chat, but they are all multiple messengers, if you need a standalone desktop application for Facebook chat then Chit Chat is a better option.

Its like an official Facebook messenger like Yahoo Messenger or Google talk. I liked the Tabbed feature on chat boxes. You can manage to chat with many of your friends at a time.

You can also set your status updates from it. It also lets you share, what you are listening to, on you Wall.

The other nice feature is the notification of your friends coming online. Makes it easy to know who is getting online or offline.
