Although there is no need but if someone asks you or there is really a need for it, you should know how to detect what your IP address is.

What is an IP address?

Every device connected to the public Internet is assigned a unique number known as an Internet Protocol (IP) address. IP addresses consist of four numbers separated by periods (also called a ‘dotted-quad’) and look something like 127.0.0.1.

There are two steps you can find your IP address (maybe there are more steps but two are quite sufficient).

Step 1

For Windows 7, find the Active Internet Connection, right click on it and Click on Status.

When the new windows pops up, click on the details tab and there you will find your IP address.

Step 2

Simply go to this website (Click Here) this will show your IP Address and also your location on the map
