Right-click scans can be performed on individual files and folders in Explorer or on the desktop. Or, files can be dragged and dropped into the AntiVir console for quick scanning.

AVG Free Edition is a classic, one of the longest running free antivirus packages available for Windows XP/2000/NT/ME/98. Installing only 30Mb of files and 4 running processes.

I agree to the TOP 3 in the list.
I personally agree Avira is rightly in the 1st place, it’s very powerful antivirus and I used to tell this to my friends. However, the scanning is taking a while and the initialization of interface is somewhat slow. Moreover, Avira is for high speed processor and pc with high RAM.

About AVG, I only use this once and never use it again. I’m not satisfied to it’s performance.

Lastly, Avast. This should be next to Avira. I love the advance and depth scanning of this antivirus, plus the new version Internet Edition, the interface is very cool. You can assure safe and secure online and offline pc usage.
